SERIES, WORKSHOPS & EVENTS
OCTOBER

A welcoming 4-week series designed to introduce you to the practice of yoga, whether you have never stepped onto a yoga mat before, or you are looking to reconnect with your yoga practice.
Over four weeks, we’ll explore and build our practice together, with each class expanding on what we’ve explored before. We’ll learn foundational yoga poses and movements, develop awareness of the body and breath, and begin to understand how we can use yoga as a practice of listening, connecting, and turning inward.
While we will learn a lot about the physical practice of yoga, throughout the series, we’ll also explore some of the deeper practices and ideas of yoga—how we relate to ourselves, how we cultivate awareness and presence, and how our practice can shape the way we move through and relate to the world around us.
There’s no experience needed, and we actually encourage all who commit to this series to come in with an open mind, open to the wonder and potential of what this journey could hold. Come exactly as you are, with curiosity and a willingness to explore.
This series is created and taught by a variety of Awen’s yoga teachers, giving you the opportunity to experience different perspectives, approaches, and teaching styles throughout the series.
This is a 4-week series and registration/ commitment is required for the full 4-week series, as each class builds upon the previous one. This is an ongoing offering, so if you miss registration for the current series, stay tuned for the next opportunity to join!

Using Tibetan singing bowls and gongs, this experience invites you into a meditative journey through the power of sound and vibration. The resonant tones create an opportunity for the busy mind to quiet, allowing the body to settle into a deeper state of rest.
Each instrument offers its own unique quality, from the grounding vibrations of the gongs to the gentle resonance of singing bowls. As layers of sound move around and through you, you'll be invited to release tension, find stillness, and reconnect with a sense of balance and inner calm. This is an opportunity to step away from the demands of everyday life and experience the restorative nature of sound.

Using her Tibetan bowls and instruments she can take you on a sound journey assisting you in an unparalleled mind, body, and soul experience. Doris also offers specialty massages including facial, hand, and feet massages, incorporating tuning forks and Tibetan bowls.
Gather with us around each full moon for an evening of creativity, connection, and making. We’ll begin with a short grounding meditation to settle into the space and create space for Awen—creative inspiration—to arise. From there, we’ll turn toward our own creative work, allowing the evening to unfold naturally as we make alongside one another.

Bring whatever project you’re currently working on, whether it’s something you’ve been meaning to finish, a new idea you’re exploring, or a craft you love to spend time with. This is a space to talk freely, share ideas, lend a hand, encourage one another, or just create in the company of others. Tables and chairs will be available, or you’re welcome to settle in on a blanket or mat on the floor.

This circle is free and open to all, but please do sign up ahead of time. We will start our grounding exercize promptly, so please arrive a bit early if you have things you need to bring in or want to set up!
The Spiral is a seasonal community gathering centered around the turning of the year and our relationship with the natural world. Every six weeks, we come together to pause, reflect, and mark the changing season through shared ritual, reflection, and connection. Each gathering is shaped by the season and the themes it brings with it, and may include meditation, gentle movement, storytelling, creative practices, sound, and seasonal rituals.

The Spiral is an invitation to step out of the pace of everyday life and remember that we, too, are part of the rhythms of the earth. No two gatherings are exactly alike; each one offers a different way to engage with the season and with one another. Come and gather in ritual, and take a little time to notice what is changing within and around you.

For thousands of years, humans have gathered in community to mark the turning of the seasons—to celebrate, to grieve, to give thanks, to tell stories, and to remember our place within the larger cycles of the earth. The Spiral is a small continuation of that tradition: a space to come together, mark the passage of time, and remember that we don't move through these seasons alone.
Our upcoming dates:Celebrating Samhain: Sunday November 1st 6-7:30pm
Celebrating Yule: Sunday December 20th 6-7:30pm

From Absorbing to Observing: How to Feel Deeply Without Losing Yourself
Your sensitivity is a gift. But when you’re deeply attuned to the emotions and energy of others, it can be easy to absorb what isn’t yours, feel responsible for how others are feeling, or abandon your own needs in an effort to help, fix, or keep the peace.

This class isn’t about building walls or keeping people away. We are hardwired for love and connection. It’s about learning how to stay connected to others without disconnecting from or abandoning yourself.
Together, we’ll explore the difference between absorbing and observing, how to recognize what is yours and what isn’t, and how healthy energetic and emotional boundaries can actually create deeper, more authentic relationships.

You’ll learn practical tools for grounding, releasing energy that isn’t yours, strengthening your intuitive discernment, and moving from fixing and rescuing into compassionate witnessing.
You don’t have to become less sensitive. You can feel deeply, love deeply, and remain rooted in yourself. You can care without carrying. You can witness without absorbing. You can stay connected without abandoning yourself.

About Judy James:

Judy James is a bestselling author, intuitive mentor, Reiki Master, mind-body-spirit practitioner, end-of-life doula, and speaker. She is the author of Out of Hiding: Finding the Courage to Be Me and co-author of 52 Weeks of Gratitude.

Through her classes, workshops, retreats, and private mentoring, Judy creates warm, nurturing spaces where people can slow down, listen within, and reconnect with the truth of who they are. Her teachings blend meditation, journaling, intuition, energy awareness, Reiki, inner-child healing, and practical tools for creating healthy boundaries and greater emotional freedom.

Drawing from both professional training and her own healing journey, Judy helps others recognize the patterns and stories that have quietly shaped their lives, release what they no longer need to carry, and trust the wisdom already within them. Her work is grounded in the belief that we do not need to become someone new, we simply need to remember who we have always been.

Judy’s guiding philosophy is: When we change, the world changes.
Are you exhausted? Struggling to sleep? Feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or stretched too thin? Maybe you're experiencing burnout, or you can sense you're headed in that direction.

Restorative Yoga is for anyone who needs to slow down, rest deeply, and give their nervous system a chance to recover.
In this gentle, supportive practice, you'll be guided into comfortable, fully supported poses using props that allow your body to release tension without effort. As your body rests, your mind has space to quiet, your breath softens, and your nervous system shifts out of stress mode and into a state of healing and restoration.

This is not a class about pushing, striving, or achieving. It is an invitation to pause, receive, and replenish.
