Foundations of Yoga Series

60 US dollars
917 E Walnut Street, Unit B, Fulton, MO

Service Description

This 4-week series welcomes and introduces you to the practice of yoga, whether you have never stepped onto a yoga mat before, or you are looking to reconnect with your yoga practice. Over four weeks, we’ll explore and build our practice together, with each class expanding on what we’ve explored before. We’ll learn foundational yoga poses and movements, develop awareness of the body and breath, and begin to understand how we can use yoga as a practice of listening, connecting, and turning inward. While we will learn a lot about the physical practice of yoga, throughout the series, we’ll also explore some of the deeper practices and ideas of yoga—how we relate to ourselves, how we cultivate awareness and presence, and how our practice can shape the way we move through and relate to the world around us. There’s no experience needed, and we actually encourage all who commit to this series to come in with an open mind, open to the wonder and potential of what this journey could hold. Come exactly as you are, with curiosity and a willingness to explore. This series is created and taught by a variety of Awen’s yoga teachers, giving you the opportunity to experience different perspectives, approaches, and teaching styles throughout the series.
