Location

We are located at 917 E Walnut St. Unit B in Fulton, MO

This is the brick building across the parking lot from the Fulton Train Depot.

Parking

We have parking available on the north side of our building, along the railroad ties. If those spots are full, there is free street parking along East Walnut and 10th street.

Our Space

Our entrance is on the east side of the building, under the Awen sign.

Our doors typically open about 15 minutes before the start of class. We recommend arriving about 10 minutes early to get set up and settled in before class begins.

We close and lock our doors at the start of class to ensure the best class experience for our students, so please plan to get there at least a few minutes ahead!

When you arrive, you will come in first through our entryway where you can leave your coats, shoes, phones, and anything else you don't need for class. We ask that you leave you silence your phones and leave them in a cubby. Our studio space is shoes-free, so please bring socks if you'd like!

We have a restroom available that you can change in, as well as a water bottle filling station. Please no food or open bottles/ cups in the studio.

Props and Mats

We have all the props you need available (blocks, bolsters, blankets, and straps). If you have your own yoga mat, we encourage you to bring it, but we do have yoga mats for use if you do not have your own, or if you forget to bring yours.

First Time to the Studio:

Booking and Payment:

Registering For Class

We ask that all students sign up ahead for classes, as we have a limited capacity for our classes and workshops. You can register here on the website, or through the app.

If you have not had a chance to register for the class you hope to attend, you may show up but we do not guarantee space in the class. Drop-in attendance is welcome if you want to pay with cash, but again we do not guarantee a space in the class. You can always check the available spaces in a class on our schedule.

Payment

We offer a variety of membership options and class passes that you can purchase through your account online, or on our app.

Drop-in options are also available for classes and workshops and can be booked through the website or app.

Cash payments: If you would like to purchase a class pass or pay-in-full membership with cash, we always welcome that, but ask that you please bring exact change as we keep very limited change at the studio. We accept cash payments for drop-in attendance, but again please have exact change.

Booking through the App

You can book classes and purchase passes and memberships through our app! You can download the ‘Wix Spaces’ app and once you log in you should see our app appear. If you ever need to troubleshoot logging in or using the app, we are happy to before or after class.

Please wear comfortable clothing that is easy to move in, and you may want to wear/ bring socks and a water bottle. We have everything else you should need.

Each class is different, as is each instructor, but generally here is how class will go:

When you arrive, you can drop your things in our entry, and your teacher will greet you and check you in either here or just inside the studio. As you check in, this is a great time to let them know you are new to the studio, or new to yoga, and go over any of your questions or concerns. They will get you set up with the props you need for class and show you where and how to set up. Before class starts, feel free to chat with others, or drop into a seat or lay down if you’re needing to just decompress as you arrive. Yoga classes often begin with a few minutes of quieter, meditative space where the teacher will guide you to focus more on your breath and body. From there, each class is different, but the teacher will guide you through various poses, breath practices, and more. Towards the end of class, we will move into ‘Savasana’ – this is a longer period of rest and integration at the end of class. If you need to go to the bathroom or get up from your mat for some reason, it is best to do so before we drop into Savasana. The teacher will guide you out of Savasana to wrap up class and will often end with a few more moments of breath and close out with a bow and ‘Namaste’ – which roughly means ‘The light in me bows to the light in you’ or ‘My soul honors your soul’.

If you fall asleep at any point in class, do not worry, we have ALL done it, we promise. We always say, usually your body needs it. Your teacher will come and gently touch you on the shoulder to help you wake. Don't rush to get up, take your time to ease back in to your surroundings and body.

Some classes, such as the slower and gentler classes, are often more quiet and introspective, while other more active classes may have more laughter and interaction. No matter the type of class, if you ever need to get your teachers attention, or if a pose feels painful or something else is wrong, feel free to wave them down or ask questions. We never want our students to suffer in silence, so even if students have been totally quiet, feel free to get our attention.

If you have any concerns or questions, please don't hesitate to email us at info.awenyoga@gmail.com or text us at . And you can always catch up with your teacher before class with anything else you want to chat about.

  • Unfortunately, our memberships and punchpasses are not shareable or transferable. We require each student to register under their own name and have a liability waiver attached to their account.
